Problem viewing Closed items

In the last day or so I noticed I am unable to pull up "Closed" items for one of our administrators. I can view all other categories but not "Closed" status items. I have attached the screenshot to show you what I see instead (note the little "<script" text below the menu box).

Ah, this is the same problem I had, I suspect I know the fix Haim is referring to, regarding user_conf data, ok so thats at least 2 of us that have had this issue I wonder if this gives a better clue to the cause, I remember now I was looking at a "closed" status when mine went wrong as well (SR 196340).

I hope this helps you get to the bottom of this one.

Problem viewing Closed items
I don't know why they wouldn't just answer it right here...
The reason is that the fix is database specific and it involves entering some SQL.
Ilient have a policy of trying not to post fixes on the community that are platform specific, which is wise, as sometimes the same modification on a different database type could have disastrous effects! Also I suspect they are trying to collate data on how many people are affected by this issue. If they posted the fix to the forum when they don't yet know the cause, they are not going to be able to track how many people are affected either.

see Haim's posting here:- http://www.ilient.com/Sysforums/posts/list/634.page#3066

Re:Problem viewing Closed items

This happened to one of my administrators a while ago (and I ignored it for the most part), but then it happened to another admin. I was able to fix the problem by purging the administrators' user accounts from the database and then refreshing from LDAP and resetting their permissions.

The problem has just happened to the same two administrators again, and possibly others as well. I would rather not go about it in the same time-consuming way that I did before, so any help would be greatly appreciated. If it matters, which I'm sure that it does, we are using the built-in derby database.

Re:Problem viewing Closed items

Presuming that you are indeed using the Derby database.....

In order to address this issue, we would like you to connect to the Derby database and then run an SQL query which will restore the default settings for that particular administrator.

For detailed instructions on how to connect to the Derby database using an JDBC connection, please refer to our forum post at http://www.ilient.com/Sysforums/posts/list/621.page.

In step 8 of those instructions, please run the following query:
update sysaid_user set user_conf=null where user_name='USER_NAME';
Note: Please replace USER_NAME with the actual username. You should run this query for each administrator who is encountering that problem.

As a precautionary measure, we strongly advise that you backup your current database before running the above query.
