Repeat Notifications until the problem is solved

Hi,

When I have a monitoring and a corresponding notification set up, the SysAid Server triggers the notification only the first time. So, I recieve only one e-mail or one SMS. How can we have the SysAid Server to repeat notifications until the problem is solved?

Panayotis

Hello Panayotis,

The best way to configure repeating notifications for the monitoring is to create a new monitoring template that will open a service request is a special category that will only include those notifications.
Then you can create escalation rules to notify you when you would like and limit the rules to run only on service requests in that category and in a specific status, this way, you can continue to receive notifications until you close this service request.

Best regards.
Haim

Repeat Notifications until the problem is solved

I would simply use third party monitoring tool (most of them are free!) which is more talkative (notify every event) to fire mail to sysaid...

But if you would like to work it out solely on sysaid here's what's on top of my head :

First, a lil why :
Only thing that can schedule notification on sysaid right now is the task in project.

So here's what suggest :
1. set the notification to fire not a mail but an sr (as an sr you got mail / sms anyway!).
2. Once it's in sr, link it to a project
3. In the project create task and set the notification anyway you want.

Would that work for you ?
