Strange Email Actions

Hey, we're still using an old version of sysaid v4.0.3. Let me give you an example of the issue.

A user, for example jdoe@mycompany sends me an email stating an issue. I then forward that email to sysaid for it to open a trouble ticket. For some reason whenever I do that one of our other users (the same user everytime), we'll say lsmith@mycompany, gets an email about the new service request. I've checked the settings to see if lsmith@mycompany is in there anywhere but she isn't.

Anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks

Re:Strange Email Actions

The two places that I would check first are the membership of the "Admin Group" and the settings in your notifications under Preferences. You can explicitly define a person to receive notifications & you can also have it notify "members of the group". These are two ways that this user could be ending up with email notifications.

Re:Strange Email Actions

This happened to us when we first set the software up. For some reason the users listed in the "Admin Group" in SysAid were normal users and not administrators at all. Once we removed them from the Admin group, it began working great!

Thanks for your help guys but I thought maybe that was the case as well but as you can see from the screen shot there is nothing in the admin group unless I am in the wrong place. The notifications are set up correctly as well.
