Which version of Office do you prefer?

Just wanted to get some opinions. We currently runt 15 machines on Office 2007, and over 30 on XP, however these machines are running Outlook 2003 to support our email Server Software.

Personally I prefer 2007 because of the look and the functionality, however I am still running on XP. Anyone care to put in another point of view?

M

Re:Which version of Office do you prefer?

At first I didn't like 2007 since the interface changed so much and couldn't find the basic functionality fast enough.
However, now after few weeks of use - it is quite useful. The preview it provides on every change is extremly helpful, for example, and once you get used to it the interface is quite easy to manage.
One annoying thing is the new file extensions which does not fully supported by previous versions although we had a thread here recently explaining how to overcome it.
So overall - I like 2007.

BJINS...

To tame mail volume problem I have user save the mail as documents so they fall into doc mgmt domain which is easier to deal with. This is why I needed the save as rtf thing.
We upgraded to Office 2003 thinking the feature will be there. I've searched for solution since. Closest thing I got was a russian product called Amber Outlook converter 123. Unfortunately despite the sound product they seems to neglect the entire customer service aspect. I suspect it's poilitical (the official site can not be reached unless I use an anonymous proxy)...

Anyway...
If you managed to find the way, I would forever be enlightedly
*slight bow*
grateful to you..
*smile*

Re:Which version of Office do you prefer?

Personally I love Microsoft Office 2008 if only for the e-mail client. Entourage is much better than Outlook IMHO.

Of those listed as options on this poll though ..... probably Office 2007. It has a lot of nice new features that I really like and work well for me. However, not being a really heavy user of Office (to busy fixing things, ya know ) then I'm not sure how it stacks up to the really technical user of it.

Actually, now I think about it I probably use OWA as much as I use Outlook at work due to MS Office's system overhead built in and "improved" with each version

now if you want a proper discussion, lets look at iWork v Office 2007 v OpenOffice
