5.5 SysAid Release

The following bugs were fixed in Release 5.5:

Despite a disabling of the End User Portal, the FAQ page could still be reached by end users.

When the user is not defined as a SysAid administrator, the SysAid agent does not run on Macintosh.

A change in the priority of a service request does not cause an automatic adjustment of its due date. 

Sorting the list of SR activities according to the titles of list columns does not function appropriately.

In the Tasks and Projects module, when deleting a certain project, its related tasks and activities remain undeleted.

Disabled administrators were not counted to match the maximum number of licensed administrators.

When there are many assets, the report Software/Hardware Inventory does not show the details of software products appropriately.

A change in the title of an asset type is not reflected in the asset details report.

In SysAid Inventory module, the only way to remove the association of a user to an asset is to change the ownership of that asset.

A software installation name that includes a comma cannot be appropriately applied.

In the analyzer reports, the expression builder button appears, although it is obsolete.

Under Helpdesk ->Activities, the PDF is printed as an empty document

Non-English language data from the Tasks and Projects module is not exported appropriately to CVS. 

Under Monitoring-> Server Template, adding tests to a new server template fails.

In SysAid Inventory, it is impossible to delete or enter a group with a name that includes a quotation mark.

When closing the ‘Add Note’ popup box in a SR, an error occurs.

In the monitoring of workstations, the CPU usage can accept a value over 100%

In a SR, the “select users window” function remains on the last used page in the next visits.

Under Helpdesk->SR->Phone Call, it is impossible to send an email to the request user by clicking on the username.

An error occurs when a user who forgot a password sends a form with only the account information.

The third dropdown in the  filter of the SR list cannot accept any values.

Under Preferences-> Email Integration, deleting the password of the user cannot be completed.

In the End User Portal, the activities and the messages were not shown on the SR page, even if selected to be visible by the administrator.

In the Helpdesk module, the service request History field is not limited in the characters that it can include.

A service request can be added to the knowledge base of Administrators by End Users, and vice versa.

Helpdesk-> New SR-> choose “Closed” status-> Click “Apply” and choose to add the SR to the KB.As a result it is impossible to re-open the SR.

When saving a SR in the Administrators KB, the end users are able to see it in their Self Service, occasionally.

There are problems when adding a computer to an asset group in the SysAid Inventory, when working with MSSQL database.

When Hebrew interface (Right-to-left) is used in SysAid, the right end of attachments is cut off.

In the User Management page, a button for disabling an administrator is missing.

When more then one integration email is defined for the email integration, any failure causes other mails not to be checked.

Search results fail to show when clicking the  Change button to select a request user for a SR.

In the End User Portal list, the end user cannot view the names in the  Request User filed in “View your old Service Request” list.

The format of the Service Request ID in the subject field is consistent when creating a new SR

In the service request list in the SysAid helpdesk, the Active Service Requests list printout turn out as a blank page occasionally.

In the LDAP integration  it was possible  to import into SysAid attributes which are not allowed.

In SysAid Customized Notifications, when changing a status of the SR to pending, a notification is sent to the end user that the SR has been closed.

The “Show All” function in the SysAid Service Request list is not saved when the page is refreshed.

The Asset Information page in SysAid Inventory includes a  Purchase Cost  field which accepts integer values.

In the Asset Information page under SysAid Inventory, if the 'Purchase Cost ' field is added to one of the tabs, it is impossible to save the page in the other tabs.

In the Analyzer, generating a report in a language other than English according to a certain category fails.

Opening a an attachment of a notification by an End User who is not logged into SysAid results in a re-direction of that user to the End User Portal

When adding an activity to a phone call in the SR form, the activity is associated with SR #0, rather than with the actual number set in the SR.

The exporting to PDF of a page with a large amount of service requests fails.

When using non-English languages in SysAid, escalation rules cannot be created in the helpdesk module.

Under Preferences->Helpdesk Settings, it is impossible to delete a category with an apostrophe in its name.

There is no warning regarding insecure elements in the dashboard page.

Re-routing of service requests from an out-of-office admin to another admin is occasionally not possible.

In the SysAid Asset Management, under the Import Assets page, the field CPU Speed is limited to integer values.

In the SysAid LDAP Integration, in some cases the SSO on tomcat, authentication fails against JCIFS.

Under Preferences-> User Management, the group name will appear to be empty even when the user belongs to a group.

In the Managers Dashboard, when using Explorer7 browser, the icons for creating or modifying reports appear as disabled.

Whenever changes are made in  a closed service request in the SysAid helpdesk module, a popup screen suggesting to add the SR to the KB pops up.


Under preferences-> Customize-> Customized notifications, it was impossible to use the $AssignTo tag to indicate whether the SR is assigned to someone or not.

Adding custom list in a service request activities fails.

It was impossible to change the login text in the case the password has been expired.

Under System -> Software Products -> click a software product-> choose "Show assets using software", the Users column in the list is empty, even when users were defined.

When account default ->  Automatic login from agent is selected, nevertheless an end user automatic login with the agent will not generate a selection of the current asset by default.

Under Preferences -> Help Desk settings -> General settings, it is impossible to select " Email notification to end user when ->Status changes to".

In SysAid LDAP integration, there was a bug in the import of nested groups.

When using IE7, under SR  -> Messages tab ->subject, the popup screen is hidden behind other screens.

Under Preferences->Project Setting->Notification, moving to another page without saving results in losing the information inserted for the notification.

In the helpdesk list, creating a filter using the combo box fails.

It is possible to set a password with less than six characters under My Settings
password.

When designing a report in the Manager Dashboard, it is impossible to make the Change Status report property visible.

In the SysAid SR list, searching a SR by ID and adding a space to the idea returns no results.

Under Preferences->User Management-> Groups, the options for filtering are irrelevant for the list.

In the Customized Notifications, it is impossible to add the relevant task to the project manager.

A space is missing in the Due Dates under the general details of a service request.

With the Oracle database, it is impossible to add a new catalog item without a name.

In the helpdesk general settings, the option to display automatic notifications in messages is not disabled as a default.

In the SysAid administrators knowledgebase, it is impossible to export items to a forum. 

In the SysAid Analyzer, the report Tasks-Projects-Activities cannot be created.

When exporting a knowledgebase item to a forum, from the SysAid helpdesk, some text in the tool tip is missing.

In the SysAid helpdesk module, a child service request may induce performance problems

The Macintosh agent does not accept any information about the storage / hard desk

In SysAid helpdesk, it is impossible to assign a service request to a user with an apostrophe in his/her name.

In the Tasks and Projects Notifications, there are viewing and modifying options which are not according to the defined user permissions.

When using Explorer browser, in the SysAid Inventory module, the display of the OS serial in the Asset Information page number is wrong

Problems with the display of the self-service knowledgebase.

In the Tasks and Projects Notification, the focus disappeats when a new notification is opened for editing.

When using MS-SQL Under System ->  SW product -> the search for an Install name is dysfunctional. 

SysAid server configured to work with a single sign on mechanism is not updated by the agent about the status of monitoring. 

After adding a service request to the knowledgebase, the OK/Apply buttons in the SR itself are disabled, and changes cannot be saved.

In the SysAid Inventory module, when changing the Install name of a software product, a copy of that software product is created.

In the SysAid Manager Dashboard, texts written from the right to the left appear reversed.

In the SysAid helpdesk, the User Group view count sql was wrong, mainly with Oracle database.

SysAid Spanish translation files were incorrect and creates problems.

It was impossible to open a new tab when customizing SysAid
