Could you rephrase that slightly and I might be able to help?

do you want to report of a list of assets that have only been logged in to ?
or list every asset and the user that last logged in to it?

Here is a quick version to get you started using the report wizard. See the attached word document.

To get the actual lat logged on user will require a bit more complex sql joining in the login history table and that is not available in the report wizard yet.
asset users report.doc

Hi Kudos,

If you are referring to the document techguy has posted, it should be available for download and viewing. Just tested this.

Hi Danny

I am trying to use this information to build a custom report.
We are assigning owners to each asset but occasionally someone forgets to change the owner and the only way to notice the error is to see who is actually logging onto the computer.
Is there a way to build a report that will show the following fields?
Asset Name | Owner | Last logged in user

The document linked in this thread seems to be an old version of sysaid? I don't have 'Users' as an available field when looking at assets.

Thanks

Hi Karen,

You can use the "User Name" field in the report, which will show the user associated with the asset. This is assuming you have Settings > End-User Portal > End-User Portal Settings > "User's asset determined by" set to "Domain and user".

Hi Danny,

I not having any luck with this. I have check our "User's asset determined by" is set to "Domain and user".

If I manually look up an asset, I can see who last logged in - in the Login History tab.
I can also see each asset has an owner set.

When creating a report:
- I created a new report
- Report type: Asset
- I edit the report and go to the data tab
- The only user fields available are under the 'owner' and 'manager' folder?

Am I missing a step, or have we setup our assets incorrectly?

Thanks

Hi Karen,

You cannot pull the "Login History" information in a report, but you can use the "User Name" field (search for it in the Data tab), which is the Users field in the asset itself - which is supposed to be populated automatically when a user accesses the End-User Portal using F11.

Cheers,
Danny

Hey Guys,

What about of set a last logon user on custom reports? its to hard to make?

Is the second year that my company has bought this product, it is important to know which user has the device, for better asset management and quick response to the end user.

Thanks in advance

Kind regards
