Forum Search is a bit sucky

If I want to refine my search by: adding another search term, order by date, change to a specific forum, then the search annoyingly has forgotten my search terms and options.

The sorting by date option in advanced search is broken.
The pages are descending but the posts contained on each page are wrongly sorted as ascending

Also it would be nice have an option to return just threads and not just posts

Also the options are not really logical - the second one "any term or exact phrase" is stupid. Clearly searching for an exact phrase with the first options will return better results.

-Search all terms
-Search any term, or as is written

Better would be three options

Search all terms
Search any term
Search exact phrase

getting the search to work AT ALL would be a start...

I've just spent the last few minutes searching for loads of words, none of which returned ANY results.

any chance you could make it a bit more worky?

hi,
I stared using sysaid a few days ago and i'm realy interestied to the search fields in the Enduser part and the adminstrator part. First of all, in the Enduser part the search field does not search any thing, I get always no result! For the administrator part, is it possible to anable the search on customized fields ?

Hi Julien,

You can hover with your mouse over the search bar to view which fields it searches in. It should work in End-User Portal -- if it doesn't, please open a ticket with our support team to investigate this.

Regarding search in customized fields - I believe this can be enabled by our Professional Services team. Please contact your account manager for this.

We will be considering adding more fields to the search when re-designing the Admin side. At the moment though, you can check with Professional Services as I've mentioned
