Hi,

Want to trial SysAid, installed following this:
https://www.sysaid.com/Sysforums/posts/list/6026.page but i'm getting an 404 error The requested resource not available.
Here's what I have in the sysaid.log - rest of logs are empty.

During installation I had no error except at the end:

Here's Tomcat & Java info:

I'd appreciate any help.
thx

Hi semakka,

Please try restarting Tomcat and check again.

Hi Danny,

Done that, doesn't work.
I fresh installed it many times using same procedure and each time seems to give different errors.
I was trying i n Debian 7 and I believe that was the problem - something to do with java, maybe.
I'm saying this because, following the same procedure, I've installed it on a Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and all worked fine from the first attempt!

thanks,
S

Interesting. You were trying to install it with JRE 1.8?

Yes I did. I PM you with the raw procedure and steps that I followed. Maybe you can find where I went wrong!

Just to add, at some point I've got an error of “DiscoveryService.properties” not being available and indeed the file wasn't there, I've tried creating it following an old post of yours on the forum but to no avail...

I'm checking this with our customer support team. Regarding the DiscoveryService error - it is normal in Linux installations as far as I'm aware.

I'll get back to you with more info.

Hi,

Can you also send me the catalina.out and sysaid.log files?

Thanks,
Danny

catalina.out is impossible because I wiped clean and install on ubuntu 16.04 LTS which worked. I'll send you the log files and conf folder, which I kept.

You'll have to rename the file and add the .zip extension - had to do this because the .zip attachments are not allowed by your forum.

Interesting, everything looks fine, except for scheduler creation error which might indicate a write permission issue on the filesystem, but it's not too clear. Please let me know if you're fine with running on Ubuntu, or if you prefer a deeper investigation with our support team.

Cheers,
Danny

Hi Danny,

it's only a trial. I'm not bothered.
Either way Debian or Ubuntu - the important is for it to work!
Thanks for all your support.

Steven
