I have some templates that have the Location filed and it get refilled in on load but when the user selects a different categories and the forms change to what we call the Phone System form the Location field gets cleared out.

So when you create an Incident or Request and the Default form is used the Location field gets loaded but when you change the categories and the forms template changes to what we call the Phone System form the Location field gets cleared out.

The field is on all the forms and this was working I know before the upgrade to v17.2.03 b6 it looks like it may have broken.

Hi Jim,

I was unable to reproduce the issue - the Location field stays filled while changing Categories/Sub-types. Is the Phone System a template or a Sub-type? Is it configured to have the Location field?

It gets dropped when I change a category and then the Sub-type/Quick form changes also.

I do have the location field set a req. in all sub-type but will go back and double/triple check that.

To make it clear - the field gets cleared of its content, or does it disappear altogether? Even if the template changes, it shouldn't overwrite the existing content AFAIK. If you can't find the culprit Template, I suggest checking this closer with our support team to see what's up. Please update here once a solution is found.

It gets cleared out.

I will look some more and see what I can find.
