We have users who only have group access to certain categories. I have a user who is in one of these groups. He can see all these tickets but if the tickets is created in the admin portal he gets a permission denied error. If the ticket is created via email no issues. Any ideas what could be the issue here?

Hi sleeper,

I suggest checking the user/group permissions for this user, specifically the "View Service Records that are assigned to" option. He may be limited in seeing only tickets assigned to him or his user group.

Cheers,

That is the design. He should only see tickets in which he is a group member to. Which is the case except when the tickets was created using the portal.

He is one of 10 members in this group. He seems to be the only one that is having the issue.

Is there a permission limit on companies for the categories in question, and if so - is the user part of this company?

If not the above -- are you using SysAid On-Premise? If so - please go to the settings of the user in question, change something in its user details and click Save. Then, go to \SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\logs and check whether an entry was added to the end of the log stating an error with userconf.

Thanks,
Danny
