Remote uninstalling of the agent

Hi All

I've trying to remotely un-deploy the agent from a machine in the office as a test but it has come back with the following error :

Failed to open remote registry key : SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Now this was firstly installed by a different RDS, one that has been removed as it was a trial version. I can see the device in scans and it appears in the RDS but will not uninstall.

Does it matter if it was installed by a different RDS ?

Hi s70rmp,

Please open a ticket for this with our support team and update here once a solution is found.

Regarding your second question - it does matter only if the server is not located in the same LAN with the agent, or if you try to undeploy using a different RDS that is not in the same LAN. This shouldn't affect your specific setup from my understanding.

I was trying to un-deploy from a different RDS which wasn't online, would that have caused it to error and fail ?

As long as you're doing it through an RDS that can see these agents, it should work. I suggest opening a ticket.

I get this error sometimes if the remote registry service is not running on the machine I am deploying to, I usually remote manage the machine and start the service which fixes the issue
