AgentConfigurationFile Incorrectly deployed on 100's of agents

I just started working with SysAid a few weeks ago with a new company and I noticed that agents were not reporting as they should. After a little bit of research I discovered that most of the assets were not reporting in because of the way the agent was deployed via image. The AgentConfigurationFile is identical for most of the assets.

I have seen this issue reported many times, but I could not find a good solution for correcting the issue w/o having to uninstall and reinstall the agent. I attempted to blank out the BiosManufacturer, MACAddress, and Random values, setting FirstTime to 'Y', but that did not appear to work either.

Any suggestions for an automated solution?

Hi Grumqs,

I believe using the new MSI agent deployment will override the old agent settings, but I suggest contacting our support team for this issue.

Cheers,

Thank you. I did open a support ticket as well.

How would we force the agent deployment process to override the old agent settings? To treat them as new?

I believe this will happen automatically, but the relevant R&D person is not in the office right now, so I prefer you go to support to fix this issue You might try deploying the MSI using GPO yourself to test this if you'd like.

Thanks,
Danny
