Confirmed, downloaded again and re-installed. Server seems running now, too early though for a big go.

One note: during install of the new patch the location of the old install is not recognized so had to locate it manually.

other than that, good, quick fix!. thnx.

The patch file on our download server has been fixed. Please download the patch again (using the same link) and reinstall. SysAid should now start normally.

The issue has been resolved.

If after the upgrade your SysAid service didn't start or you haven't upgraded yet, please download the correct upgrade file at the following URL:
https://helpdesk.sysaid.com/CustomPage.jsp?pageName=download_05.html&fileName=SysAidServerPatchv9.0.52.exe&EndUserLink

It will install the patch to 9 and it know how to fix the problem you are all describing.

There was an issue with a corrupt patch file in one of our mirror sites some of you may have downloaded - we fixed it as soon as we could.

The corrupt file doesn't do any damage to your SysAid installation - but it does cause you to be down because the service doesn't start - again we fixed all mirror links - download again and run the patch - it will bring you up in no time.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you will enjoy SysAid 9.

After applying the version 9 upgrade patch, two old requests from 2011 are showing up as "new." I cannot delete them nor open them (request not found). How can I remove them from the list of requests?

Hi PrimeHealth,

1. Try checking their history tab and see what re-opened them...
2. When you say you cannot delete them, what do you mean? You can get into them? Can you submit a screenshot?

Thanks,
Joseph.

Hi guys.

We are experiencing problems with our SysAid ever since we upgraded to V9.0

We have been running V8.5 without issues.

Now Sysaid stops every few hours.

Have tried restating the service. Some times it works.
Have tried rebooting . Also some times works.

Also reinstalled the server patch several times only to have the above start all over again.

Also cant login to sysaid on the server itself.

Now we cant go back to V8.5 which worked.

Please help.

Hi Pheonic,

Did you contact support regarding this?
Usually, these types of failures could be prevented by changing some of the resource allocation settings in SysAid. Please talk to your account manager and describe the issues you're having.
In addition, you could provide him/her the log files from Preferences > About > Download logs...

Thanks,
Joseph.

Hi,
Trying to upgrade from 8.5 to 9.0 on a Linux server with Tomcat 6 and JRE 1.6.
Is it safe to fiirst upgrade Tomcat and JRE ?
Does SysAid have to be down during the upgrade procedure ?
Where can I find a procedure for Linux upgrade from 8.5 to 9.0 anyway ?
Thanks !
