Thanks for the feedback, checking this with our web team. Until then, you can follow the whole thread as a workaround.

Cheers,
Danny

Oh, OK, yes, I guess this is the only solution until then.

Uhm, I have a problem with the Beta for Mac, I can't seem to disable the shortcut key from F12 to nothing, as our Mac designers use all Fx keys for functions in Adobe software.

There is nowhere for me to disable it from the software itself, and trying online from agent settings doesn't do anything even though I save, the setting just reverts back to F12.

Also, there are many machine shortcuts for brightness and such for Macs.

Is there some other way of disabling this without removing SysAid entirely?

I've manually edited one of the shortcut status entries in the agent configuration xml file to disable the shortcut, but still, it would be nice if this would work from SysAid Cloud through agent settings or through the separate portal app as a separate setting.

Thanks.

Actually, having said that, I realized that I actually just disabled the shortcut entirely, so, I still need to find a way, or to know what the entry is in the preferences .xml file so as to disable the F12 shortcut or at least set it to none.

Also, what about that uninstaller script, and is there a new script for the newer beta?

This is crucially important when upgrading from the old betas to the new ones.

I'm not sure I understand which newer beta you are referring to. The current version is the same as you've used -- all your feedback has been received and the team will work on it. Whenever a new version is released, I will update this thread.

Regarding the F12 shortcut - there is currently no way to disable it, this functionality has also been included for the next versions of the beta agent.

Thanks,
Danny

Oh, ok, that's good.

I'm referring to people that still have older betas installed, like most of our Macs, going to the UI version from the non-UI version.

And also, with newer betas coming out, do we simply overwrite the installation?

Yes, the old installation should be simply overwritten, unless stated otherwise.

Sorry to say, but we need a date for when the final and stable version is coming out. What is the progress of this development? Are you done 90%? 99? Will it be in 2015? We have almost exclusively Macs in our company and we need a reason to justify renewing our subscription.

Best regards.

@DavidL: It appears like you're using the old Mac OS X alpha build. If so - please upgrade to the latest build that appears in the first post and re-check.

@Jackpot, and everyone in this thread:
A newer version of Mac OS X agent is implemented in our On-Premise Winter 16 (15.4) Beta, with even more features coming up in the next beta build, and in the final Winter 16 release in January.
Approximately the same timeline applies to SysAid Cloud 15.4, which is now being released gradually to all Cloud customers.

In order to participate in the Winter 16 Beta, please sign up to be a SysAid Pathfinder, and you should receive a download link. Let me know by a PM should you have issues with this.

Please let us know of any feedback you have about the new agent version, or the Beta in general.

Thanks,
Danny
