But why is it that we can no longer download individual platform agents from your guys website?

We used to be able to do that, and it was so helpful.

I'm not sure I understand your question. The agent distribution has always been done through individual SysAid Servers installed in your environment (except for Cloud), as far as I'm aware. This specific thread was created to test the public beta phase of the new Mac OS agent, which has now been concluded.

I can check further if such an option was ever offered, but I don't remember it personally.

Cheers,
Danny

https://www.sysaid.com/support/mac-agent-75 is such a page.

It is listed when we go into network discovery as the "Find out more" page.

One can download a standalone agent from that page, it's just that it's very old.

If we'd have the latest beta on that page, that would be great.

As mentioned before, the beta phase is over, so there is no more beta Agent.
You can however use the link for the agent included with your SysAid found under your Settings > Network Discovery > Downloads.

Yes, I understand, and that's all great, but it would be more helpful if we could individually download the agent without having to log into the helpdesk, as we are on-premise for example but opted to not open our SysAid up to the world to avoid cybersquatting of user names ending in locking people out of their desktops due to LDAP, and still would need to be able to download the agent from the website at some point.

It's just that we got used to the agent being available as standalone via that link that I shared previously.

If you guys don't want to make individual agents available for download, then that's fine, but the network discovery page isn't clear as to what version is actually present in the download link, and up until now it always used to be the old one and we had to go the website for the latest beta.

Thanks.

Understood. I'll forward this to the web team to update the web page you linked to with the latest agent. I'll let you know when there's progress

Is it possible to deploy / update the agent over a script that include all information needed?

It is currently not possible to deploy an agent using a script to Mac, except using Network Discovery > Deploy Agents section under Settings, or using manual installation.

You can submit this as a feature request in this forum.

Thanks for the feedback,
Danny
