We were investigating this issue and we were able to find the problem that cause the connection failure on some of the Win 7 machines.

A new agent will be released next week. We will send you all a notification and we will ask you to help us by testing this new agent on your site.

Hopefully it will work in all cases.

This agent will include the fix for Windows 7 for SysAid 6.5. In a few month we are expecting to have a new SysAid release, 7.0, with a new version of the remote control tool which will improve the RC performance and will fix some known issues as well.

Thanks,
Asaf

When this week will this be available and how will we be contacted about it?

I'm having the same problem that the remote machine never gets the notification for remote access with my Windows 7 machines, so I would be interested in any fixes that would resolve not being able to remote control them. Plaase let me know when the patch is out.

Thanks,

Well don't look for it anytime soon.

Monday of this week I had SysAid techs try the new agent on my machine. Didn't work at all.

Hi kalyta,

I asked EyalZ to send you the new Agent for Windows 7 that we are testing.
They will contact you to set a remote control session.
Best Regards,
Itay

Nothing as of yet. I am currently using the 6.5.05 agent.
Does anyone know if there has been a newer agent released or in beta that I can test?

6.5.07 is the latest released version of the agent that I know of, that came with 6.5.08 release of Sysaid.

The link that I have to download the latest software is https://www.sysaid.com/patches.htm

Is there another link that I can download a newer version?

Hey wow I just checked the Upgrade site and 7.0 is out. What when did this happen??? https://www.sysaid.com/release-upgrades.htm

They said the remote to Windows 7 would work with this version. I will upgrade my server this week and test it out and let you know.

I have installed v7 and redeployed the agent and still nothing. I don't even get a prompt. I can connect fine to a windows xp machine.

I upgraded my server to 7.0, push out the new client agent to all of my computers (including my own of course), and upgraded the SysAid Admin Tools on my computer... and it works! I was able to remote control one of my Windows 7 computers.

I have not full tested it but it seemed to work as well and as fast as remote controling a Windows XP computer.

I did find one bug on the SysAid server, if you click on “Download a SysAid MSI deploy package" under the Downloads tab you will get a screen of nonsense. You have to manually copy the SysAidAgent.msi file from the C: drive on the server.

R. Beymer - make sure you have upgraded your SysAid Admin Tools on the computer you are remoting from as well as updating the SysAid client agent on all your computers.

I noticed there have been no updated posts since the version 7 release. Is anyone running 7.5 or 8 and having better results? We are struggling with this issue as well.

We have plans to begin to upgrade to at least 7.5 very soon. Hopefully, these issues will be fixed as we are planning wide-scale deployment of Win 7.
