Thanks for the post. Helped save some time during my migration to 365.

I have tried those settings but they do not work for me. Outgoing email works, but incoming does not. Here is a screenshot of my settings:

Hi Mike,

Since SysAid uses EWS, try going to your mail server URL through *Internet Explorer*, and instead of /owa, type /ews. A login page should be displayed, and once logged in you should see an XML sheet. If this is not what it occurs, it's possible that EWS has been disabled and SysAid email integration will be unable to log in. Please enable EWS in your mail server.

Let me know if this works.

Cheers,
Danny

Tried and got the login screen. Updated in Sysaid, but no change. Incoming emails are not being picked up. Is there some log I can look at to see what is going on?

Hi Mike,

You shouldn't update the URL in SysAid. When accessing the URL you should receive an XML. What happens when you login when it appears?

Thanks,
Danny

In your prior message you said "Since SysAid uses EWS, try going to your mail server URL through *Internet Explorer*, and instead of /owa, type /ews. A login page should be displayed,"

Now you're saying I shouldn't receive a login page: "When accessing the URL you should receive an XML, not a login screen."? I'm confused. In any case, I have attached two more screen shots. The first one is what I get when I visit https://outlook.office365.com/ews. The second one is what I get after I enter the username and password.

pics are showing in wrong order. The login pic is what I get when I visit the URL, the other pic (office 365 portal screen) is what I get after I login.

Hi Mike,

Sorry, had a brainfart To clarify - you shouldn't change the URL to /ews in SysAid, but only visit that page to verify EWS. The URL you have in SysAid should stay as it is.

Regarding the login page - perhaps something has changed in this regard with the XML page. The server URL you are using *in SysAid* is https://outlook.office365.com/owa ?

Thanks,
Danny

Yes, it was https://outlook.office365.com/owa initially (per the instructions by someone else in earlier posts). It didn't work, so I posted here. You said something about changing to /ews, so I mistakenly changed it in Sysaid to https://outlook.office365.com/ews which obviously would not work. I have already changed it back to https://outlook.office365.com/owa and it is still not working. That is why I was wondering if there is any kind of log I can look at to see why incoming email is not working. Outgoing is working just fine. BTW, I can login to that account's OWA with a browser by visiting https://outlook.office365.com/owa and entering the same username and password that I have in Sysaid. I can see the emails just fine.

Alright. Can you let me know if you're using SysAid Cloud or On-Premise and its version number? If it's Cloud, please send me your account name by a private message.

Thanks,
Danny

Thanks. SysAid log in question can be found in ...\SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\logs\sysaid.log
You can try to review it yourself for errors, or send it to me by a private message (use a file-hosting service with shareable links) and I'll get back to you.

Thanks,
Danny

Hi Mike,

It appears like quartz.properties file is missing, therefore the SysAid scheduler is unable to start. This mechanism is responsible over various functions of the system, including receiving email.
When did the problem start to occur? Was it possible after a version upgrade?
I suggest checking if you have any antivirus software installed on the server and if it blocks any SysAid-related files, as well as checking if the \SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\quartz.properties file exists and if you can open it with notepad.

Let me know.

Cheers,
Danny

It started after we migrated from in-house Exchange to Office 365. We were receiving incoming emails just fine when we were on Exchange. I've not been able to get them to work at all since moving to Office 365.

Edit: There is no antivirus on the server running Sysaid.
