Odd characters in tickets from emails

Hello,

for the past few months we started seeing issues with tickets from emails with odd characters. I am not sure what caused this (I believe an upgrade?). It seems to have issues with US special characters. Here's an example:

New Incident #36,907

Title: SAP BPC Setup for Kanika
Description:
Could you please set up Kanika, Kohli’s account with access to SAP-BPC, and set up the excel SAP-BPC module on her computer.

That should show as Kohlia's

Any ideas or should I open a ticket?

Hi Dave,

This could be a Unicode encoding issue, but I don't think it should've happened without any change. I suggest opening a ticket with our support and reporting back here once a solution is found.

I'm getting this as well after we upgraded to v17.3.57 b2. Is there a setting that I need to change?

Hi Colonel

Please try changing Settings > Customize > Account Defaults > Export/Import/Encoding to Unicode (UTF-8), and click Save.

I'm guessing you mean UTF-8. I hope it doesn't change the eight to an emoticon. If so, it is already on that setting. Thanks for the quick reply also.
