Data Storage Location

While SysAid is an international company and does business in over 140 countries around the world, we try to stay local, when possible. Regarding data storage, SysAid strictly adheres to all relevant local data protection laws and regulations. Since different locales require differing standards, SysAid stores your data in the same location where you access SysAid’s services. 

To eliminate any ambiguity, please note that your location will determine where your data is stored. For example, if you are located in the United States, your data will be stored in an AWS data center in the US; similarly, if you are located in the European Union, your data will be stored in an AWS data center in the EU. 

You can use SysAid’s website to determine specifically where your SysAid data is being stored. For example, if you want to see which data center is housing your data, and view that data center’s incident history and metrics, that is all available. 

Note that the last two letters of your instance indicate its location. US refers to the United States, EU refers to Europe, and AU refers to Australia.

To find the location of your SysAid data

  1. Go to https://status.sysaid.com/
  2. Enter your SysAid account name in the search box.
  3. Click Search.

  4. Note the last two letters of your instance.
  5. Expand the region where your instance is located.

  6. Find your instance and click More Info.

    A graph appears displaying the metrics for your instance. You can view them per Day, Week, or Month.
